Your Vet Box was founded by two dedicated veterinarians with over 50 years of combined clinical experience in small animal medicine. As successful small animal practice owners, we understand the daily challenges of running a veterinary practice, training staff, making clients happy and providing high-quality care to patients.
Our Founders
One of the veterinarian founders, Lisa Beagan, has an MBA and brings a wealth of experience from her previous role at General Electric, where she worked in marketing and developed software to improve efficiency. She later pursued her veterinary degree in Boston, Massachusetts, and now owns a thriving practice in Annapolis, Maryland.
The two founders met as members of the Veterinary Management Groups (VMG) and quickly realized their shared passion for improving veterinary processes and their entrepreneurial spirit.
Our Mission
Your Vet Box was born out of a desire to help veterinary practices enhance customer service, staff training, efficiency, and processes related to patient care. Our primary product is a decision-tree-based tool designed for veterinary customer service agents. This tool helps answer clients' questions about their pets' needs, efficiently triages illnesses, and schedules the correct type of appointment with appropriate urgency (emergency, same-day, or as soon as the schedule allows).
How It Works
The decision-tree tool provides a script for customer service agents to follow, ensuring a consistent message and flow of information. At the end of each call, all captured information is sent to the clinic in preparation for the pet's appointment. This lets veterinary staff know precisely why the pet is at the clinic, preventing missed information crucial for diagnosis and treatment.
